The youngest of four
children, I was born, raised, and currently live
in Syracuse, NY. I am a graduate of Sacred Heart
Elementary, Bishop Ludden High, and SUNY Oswego
with a bachelor's degree in Spanish.
I had always been
interested in photography, but was never able to
do anything creative with a camera until I worked
for a local distributor of digital imaging
products (WYNIT,
Inc.)
Now on my fifth
digital camera (Nikon
D-70,) I have collectively taken thousands upon
thousands of pictures with the cameras I've owned
and borrowed. Everything you see on this site has
been either self-taught, learned from close
friends, or picked up from online tutorials. In
other words, I have no formal training in
photography, image editing, or in web design. It's
just a love of the stuff that makes me do what I
do.
For two years, I
was a featured photographer on the
Official Syracuse Crunch web page, and
continue to contribute graphics, wallpaper files
as well as pictures to
Dave's Unofficial Crunch Web Page. Other pages
I've been featured on include streetcorner5.com
which has since become
streetcornerband.com and
WYNIT, Inc. where I am the current webmaster.
I also contribute photography and graphics to
Phoenix Rising.
So after much
support and suggestion from family and loved ones,
on April 8, 2002 I opened ricspics.net. Thank you
to everyone who believed in me. You mean the world
to me. |
